A New Home, A New Beginning

Psalm 127:1 KJV
Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Devotion:

This week naman has been filled with boxes, packing tape and yung hustle ng paghahakot (though paunti-unti at hindi pa din tapos); this is a season of transition, excitement at syempre panahon ng pagod. But in the midst of it all, I pause to reflect on the deeper meaning of this move.

Proverbs 24:3-4 KJV
3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Yung bahay namin gawa sa mga bato, mga biga at iba pang mga materyales, pero ang isang tahanan ay dapat gawa sa pagmamahalan, pananampalataya, at syempre may prisensya ng Panginoon na nagbibigay sa atin ng wisdom and knowledge to build a very strong foundation.

Joshua 24:15 KJV
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

As we step into this new space into the near future, we are reminded na hindi lang to basta change of address or location, this is a fresh opportunity to build a sanctuary where God is honored and worshipped, where peace should reigns, and lastly where love should abounds.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7
5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

This will be the place where our kids will grow where actions, words and how we treat each other should reflect our faith to God.
it will a place where love dwells, new memories will be made, and God’s presence is invited in, and it should be filled with scriptures and verses from the Bible.

Psalm 127:1 also reminds us that no matter how much effort we put into building or moving, ang Panginoon parin ang nag-iisang may kakayahan para isustain ang ating mga tahanan. Kaya nararapat lamang na parati sa ating tahanan ang Panginoon palagi ang parating nasa unang considerations.

This move may have brought physical exhaustion, but it also brings the joy of new beginnings. Let us not forget to dedicate our homes to the Lord, asking Him to be the foundation of everything that happens within our walls, yung ating mga conversations, mga decisions, celebrations and even yung ating mga pagpapahinga sa ating tahanan.

Magandang araw mga kapatid!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for every blessing that you are pouring down to us even though hindi kami karapatdapat sa mga iyon. Guide us Lord as we step into the unknown and lead us every step of the way. I pray for your protection and provisions. I also pray to bless our love ones and brothers and sisters in faith.

In Jesus mighty name,
Amen
