Choosing Obedience

Deuteronomy 27:26 KJV
Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Devotion:

Blessed day mga kapatid, today we will be discussing about choosing to obey God. In Deuteronomy 27, Moses instructed the people of Israel to set up stones covered with God’s law after crossing the Jordan River. The chapter also describes blessings and curses connected to obedience and disobedience. God wanted His people to publicly remember His commands and commit themselves fully to Him.

This chapter emphasizes that faith is not merely spoken , ito ay isinasapamuhay sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod.

He commanded them to write it plainly on stones where everyone could see it. At may mahalagang dahilan ito bakit nya pinasulat sa bato, this is to reveal something important.

Today, many people want the comfort of God’s promises without the responsibility of obedience (Inaamin ko na madalas ganito ako ). But reading Deuteronomy 27, reminds me that God takes holiness seriously. Yung Obedience is not about earning salvation; it is about yung pag respond natin to God with love, humility and surrender.

In the same way, believers today are called to say “Amen” not only with words, but also with actions.

Hindi nagbabago ang kagustuhan ng Panginoon, He still desires hearts that honor Him publicly and privately.

John 14:15 KJV

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Obedience to God is not about perfection, it is about a willing heart that continually says, “Amen” to His will.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help me to obey Your Word with sincerity and faithfulness. Let my life reflect Your truth openly and clearly. Teach me not only to hear Your commands, but to live them daily. Give me strength to choose obedience even when it is difficult.

In Jesus mighty name,
Amen.
